OathBound [DEMO]

An early concept prototype demo for a Game Design degree course.

Oathbound: Reign of Tyrants is a First Person monster-collector set in an Alternate Arthurian Science Fantasy where creatures found in the world are commonly used as weapons of war. Inspired by games like Borderlands and Pokémon, players are designated as Beast Trainers who can capture and train a party of creatures dubbed “Regalias” which they can control during combat to take down opponents and grow stronger. Combat is played out like first person shooter where the player equips one of their Regalias to use their abilities directly while the other Regalias in their party act as A.I. companions able to act and support the player in their own ways. The player’s goal is to capture and train their party of Regalias to become powerful enough to defeat the corrupted tyrant Arthur Pendragon and ultimately become the Beast-Master.
